Waterford Trip

SERC’s new high Viz Gilet (vest) was given it’s first official outing last weekend, when ten SERC members took a trip to Waterford on Saturday last, in what was very blustery conditions and very tough day in the saddle, however the excellent leisure facilities at the Tower Hotel helped to relieve the aches and pain. The return trip on Sunday was a completely different experience the wind in particular was much more favorable. Another couple of firsts for the club was crossing the river Suir twice, the ferry at Ballyhack on the way down and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge on the return journey, this is the longest bridge in Ireland and the longest of its kind in the world. overall it was a great trip, special thanks to Jason and Wayne for organising Hotel etc and Ronan for supplying the back up transport, not forgetting Willie who ensured every one was kept safe.
The clubs weekly Sunday spin leaves the Fernhill Plaza at 9.30am, all levels are catered for all you need is a road worthy bike and a helmet. www.southeastroadclub.com
