SERC 3 Peaks 2022

South East Road Club are happy to announce that the sign on for this years 3 Peaks is now live. Please note that Cycling Ireland have stipulated that all participants must sign up online, therefore the ability to sign on will be available right up until the event start time or when event numbers are reached. As with previous years our event has sold out quickly, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. SERC Race Training rides 2021 – Starting from this Thursday evening at the Inch circuit. Dates as follows: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th. First group away at 7pm sharp. Please follow the current Government Covid guidelines.

Improvement Spins

Continuing throughout the remainder of the summer, South East Road Club will be rolling out cycling improvement spins for those who wish to take their cycling to the next level. The programme will take place every Wednesday at 7pm at Coral Leisure Centre, which has been designed to progressively increase pace and distance. The initial pace for this group will be set at not less than an average of 22km/h over a 35/40km route. The programme is open to all road cyclists in the Arklow area. Cycling Returns

We are happy to announce the return of our Wednesday beginners/return to cycling club spins, commencing this Wednesday 12th.Meeting at the Coral Leisure Centre Car Park from 6:30. All are welcome, to come along and try out road cycling all you need is a road worthy bike and a helmet. A pre spin Covid declaration will be required to be filled in either online (CI license holders) or print/fill in (link below) and bring along for those who do not yet. Charity Relay Cycle In what were ideal conditions, South East Road Club kicked off their 220km Charity relay cycle with an early start on Saturday morning last. The first group rolled out from Coral Leisure Centre under the cover of dark at 7.30am, with the last group taking to the road at 2.30pm for the final lap of five to complete the 220km circuit, with a number of members stepping up to complete a couple of laps during the day. SERC Charity Cycle

Please Share with friends and family and Donate what ever you can. South East Road Club are hosting a 220km relay charity cycle on Saturday the 17th October. Club members will complete the 44Km route five times in aid of two local organisations, Arklow Cancer Support (ACS) and Talk to Tom. See details below. The club have selected these two charities because unfortunately there is no family in Arklow or the surrounding area that has not been affected by cancer or experienced issues relating to mental health. A quick reminder that the very popular SERC adult Leisure cycles continues every Sunday morning at 9am,and Wednesday evening. For the Wednesday spin please keep an eye on our Facebook page for information regarding times , both starting out from the Coral Leisure Centre. The Sunday morning spins will split into two groups, one for those who are looking for a faster pace, and the other a much more leisurely and relaxed spin. Weekly Club Spin

Hi all We hope that ye are all keeping well. The South-East Road Club committee have decided to commence the weekly club spins on Sunday July 5th. We are allowed to cycle in a group of up to 15 while adhering to government social distancing rules, in the event that more than 15 turn up on the day there will be two groups on the road. Dear cyclist, In light of the uncertainty in relation to Covid-19, the South East Road Club Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the 3 Peaks challenge for 2020. You do not have to do anything, all the current registrations will remain valid for next years event, penciled in for Sunday April 4th 2021.
